As a self-confessed comic book culture obsessed lunatic, it should come as no surprise that I spend a lot of time browsing the internet for items that can aide my obsession. So, I decided to compile a list, should there be any other absolute geeks, yet fashion conscious humans out there, looking for something to add to their collection.
DC Comics Wonder Woman stars clutch bag, with chain, £16.99:
One of the things that bothers me about going out – whether it be for cocktails with the girls or a meal out with the family – is that there aren’t really many accessories that can complete your outfit without potentially looking inappropriate or underdressed. This clutch is not only stunning; it’s classy enough to not look out of place in a slightly formal setting.
It’s available from TruffleShuffle, and is currently part of a 20% off sale!
DC Comics Wonder Woman circle symbols necklace, £10.99:
I actually bought this for myself last Friday, just before I the 20% off Wonder Woman sale went live, which is pretty annoying, yet I don’t mind that I had to pay that bit extra. It’s bit more plastic than I expected, but I find that it’s a pretty cute necklace to wear to work; you can look professional whilst letting your dork flag wave high.
Again, this is available at TruffleShuffle, and part of the 20% off sale!
Guardians of the Galaxy custom made heels, £50.00
This is one of the many pairs of shoes I have salivated over on this Etsy page; akin to the Wonder Woman bag mentioned earlier, there just aren’t enough heel options that incorporate geek culture and glamour, but this site do! The DC comics pin up option is currently on my wish list, but now that I’ve seen these Guardians of the Galaxy shoes, they’re on the list too?!
You can purchase these shoes, here and can even request custom shoes, made to order, just for thee!
Wonder Woman lounger, £35.78
Onesies aren’t really my thing; I don’t like the idea of going to bed or lounging around dressed as a giraffe or a minion, but going to bed dressed as the greatest hero who ever lived? Sign me up…
Again, this was found via ThinkGeek.
TAFI Harley Quinn leggings, £16.99:
I randomly found these when browsing Etsy and decided to give them a go, even though I felt relatively convinced they’d end up like a lot of online leggings I’ve bought in the past; upon first wash become all bobbly and become incredibly see through once I put them on. However, I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived and, even though they’ve been washed a few times, they remain like-new and aren’t at all see through, which is great.
Their Etsy store is filled with more comic book and general fandom related leggings, which you can find here.
Harley Quinn corset & panty set, £35.00:
For those who are interested in a different kind of cosplay (teehee), then look no further than sexy superhero (or villain) underwear – huzzah! There’s a range of these available on superherostuff.com including this gorgeous Harley Quinn piece.
This post could have gone on for decades, so I had to force myself to stop… happy shopping, comic book fans.
